A small aircraft has crashed into a high-rise building in New York, setting apartments on fire and sending wreckage plummeting to the ground. The crash killed a well-known baseball player Cory Lidle and his flying instructor. The incident caused considerable concern to residence of the city still mind for those attacks of the 11th September 2001.But the mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg stressed that there was no evidence of terrorism. “Shortly after the light aircraft hit the 50-story building in Manhattan’s Upper West side, smoke has been seeing spreading over New York. Officials here say so far two people have died in what appears to be a freak accident. Soon after the crash, the FBI said that they didn’t suspect any kind of terrorist attack. The New York Fire Departments say that the aircraft struck the residential building on the 20th floor. The flames have now been extinguished and investigators around the scene trying to establish what exactly happened.”
